Questions
Where is our data stored?
In Switzerland: Microsoft Azure, region Switzerland North (Zurich) — database, files, backups and logs. Payments are handled by Stripe.
Do we need Microsoft 365?
Yes. People sign in with their Microsoft work account, and Seatline reads names and departments from your directory. No extra passwords.
What counts as a desk?
Every active seat in your floor plans. Blocked seats (for example broken or not in use) are not billed. The count is updated every night.
What happens after the trial?
An admin subscribes with a card in a few clicks. If nobody does, your workspace becomes read-only — nothing is deleted.
Is Seatline a desk-booking tool?
No. Seatline is for fixed seating: everyone has their place, and moves are planned. For daily desk booking there are other tools.
Can we get our data out?
Any time: seating lists and history as Excel or CSV, floor plans as PDF.
